Hi all, I hope you’re all well! the crabapple and pear tree in my back garden are blooming, covered in bees, i hear the occasional toad mating call, and things just smell so good right now. My senses craved Spring. Last year I was lucky enough to spend some time wandering around old hidden cemeteries on the coast of Maine. I love tiny little hidden cemeteries… the family plots, the ones with no signs that you just kind of stumble upon when you’re hiking or walking down road… the ones along coastal Maine often have gravestones noting folks who have perished at sea. Seeing these beautiful lichen covered stones planted the seeds for a story and the collection that I’ve just finished.

I would LOVE to follow your work in progress! I have long admired your anatomical Venus's. Imagine my DELIGHT when my BROTHER IN LAW, at a recent family gathering showed me your shipwrecked people on Instagram. He thought I would like them and I absolutely DO! How wonderful to read the story of how they came into being...unbeing? Anyway HATS OFF TO YOU for winning James into The Realm of Doll!
I actually wanted the captain Tibbets or little Caroline … but they were gone by the time I got on … I teach today starting at 12 so logged on a little late.. but I’m really happy I got Eliza…I do love her little glasses .. I really wanted her brother too and I felt bad splitting them up but just had to buy a new computer and not a good time financially. I love to read your posts and would love to get a better idea of your thought process…. You are so creatively brilliant..
