Hello everyone!
I am sitting here in my old house in my weird corner of New England and the sky is grey and the leaves are falling like crazy in this wind and it’s just so perfect. I have been very busy since July making little beings for this season.
The first group of dolls, evolved with a story. Here goes.
Baba’s Family
One day, Baba was walking through the woods and came to a clearing. She watched as a mother and father slowly lowered their young child into the ground and lay flowers on her grave.
Baba was lonely. The love she saw that the mother and father had for their daughter made her want a daughter of her own.
Later, Baba returned to the grave and retrieved the young girl’s body. She found a new spot close to her home and dug a new hole.
She added a feather from her favorite, long since departed, crow and a seed from her most beautiful pumpkin. She covered these things with pine cones and soil and whispered beautiful words. She knew that as these objects inside the hole grew and became filled with life, their roots would entangle and the beings that emerged would live happily as sisters and brother. Baba would have a new family, and she needn’t worry that she, or they, would ever be lonely again.

Baba’s Family is a collection of three large dolls strung as marionettes. The dolls themselves are approximately 28 inches long. Their arms can be manipulated by strings pulled through the top of the piece of antique wood that suspends them.
Pumpkin Dearlings
I have also been hanging out with all of these pumpkin dearlings who are holding baby demons. They are rascally.
There will also be a large harvest of finger puppet demons, one hand puppet and a sack of Good Luck Demon Larvae
My shop will be filled to the brim tomorrow, October 14th at 12 pm EST. For those interested, I will be posting a short video of all of the dolls hanging out in my studio tomorrow morning on my Instagram.
I hope you are having a lovely autumn so far!
