Darksome!

(and a brand new store!)

Hi Everyone!

Tomorrow I am participating in the Darksome Summer Darkness virtual market. I highly encourage you to check out all of the excellent and spooky artists! You can enter my new shop through Darksome, or you can also go direct… but more about that later.

I sat down in my workshop, thinking about what I would like to make most and 18 dolls leaked out of my brain! Most of them are about 10-12 inches long, and made with wire, clay, linen, stitchery and antique bits and pieces.

I am so happy with all of them. I also made two new large skeletons! These are about 24 inches long, and were made with wire, clay, lots of linen and linen twine wrapped around bones, really beautiful antique French voile skirting and other bits of antique laces. This time, I modeled the skulls after ancient skulls. Poor Agnes only has one tooth and Sandrine, just a few. I love really, really old skulls, the older, the more marred and aged the better.

NEW shop

All of the new dolls will be in my new shop tomorrow, Friday July 26th at 10 am EST.

Note: please do not go to my old etsy shop- it is empty.

You can enter the new shop via Darkness, or go directly to the shop via this link or just hop on over to www.janaseven.art, that’s it’s new home. I have tested and tested the shop and everything seems to be working... but you know, fingers crossed for smoothness. Normally I click ‘publish’ and take a long walk, but this time I will be hanging out and monitoring things to make sure all goes well.

The smaller dolls will be sold for $325 each and two the larger skeletons will be $450 each.

These will be the last of the dolls for a while. I’m working on a new idea that will need some time and concentration, and if all goes well I may have some interesting new things for you in December! I can’t wait to tell you about them!
