and stunning work by fellow artists
I am giving away this little anatomical torso doll named Cleo…
She is 4.5 inches long and comes in her own little handmade box that you can see here. It’s just generally been such a rough stretch for everyone over the last few years, I just wanted to celebrate getting through it all.
How to Win
Just go to my Instagram and leave a comment on the Giveaway post, by tomorrow, Friday June 9th, no later than 12 pm EST. I will then be selecting someone randomly and will let the winner know via DM.
I would also like to celebrate two incredible artists, whom I am fortunate enough to own work by.
Melanie is a Canadian artist. She and I have collaborated on projects before and I am lucky enough to own quite a few of her pieces. She is an extraordinary doll maker, a generous friend, and also a miniaturist. She made this jaw-dropping steamer trunk filled with intricate handmade pieces, that were to accompany my Upsetting Sea collection. These belonged to the Naturalist, Crispin. You can see his telescope, magnifying glass, letters from his sweetheart, portraits, maps, inkwell… i cried opening everything up. And then selfishly decided to keep this magnificent collection for myself.
I highly encourage you to check out Melanie’s work. She will occasionally take commissions and updates her shop frequently. She and I will be collaborating on a larger project later this year, but more on that later.
Juli Steel, Twisted Copper Forest
Juli is based out of Texas and her work strikes right to my heart. Everything she creates evokes (and often uses), the old, discarded and haunted. She creates beautiful sculptures and abandoned doll houses and has been featured in House Beautiful and art galleries.
She created this derelict miner’s cabin for me. The attention to detail is amazing and I want to move in.
I just can’t even.
So, why am I doing a giveaway? Because I am fortunate enough to own such unique pieces of art, it only feels right to giveaway a piece of mine.
